Occupational health management is just as much a part of occupational health and safety as protective gloves and health & safety signs. The only difference is that EAP tackles a quite different area. This is exactly what helped us have lots of conversations at A+A.
It was exciting for us to see what issues OHS experts are looking into. What materials are protective aprons made from or what details do you need to think about when selecting the right footwear for this or that job.
Despite being an "underdog", we were in high demand as a point of contact when it came to occupational health and safety in a broader sense – because unfortunately a protective jacket or a helmet can't help in every situation.
Some attendees were unsure about whether we were the right partner for their company because they belong to an unusual industry, operate out of several different locations or are just a small team. We gave all of them the same answer: we ARE the right partner!
Thanks to our broad client base, we were able to quickly dispel any concerns and use our wealth of experience to offer help and advice. This gave people a feeling of being properly understood and in good hands from minute one.
As well as potential new clients, we also used the opportunity to catch up with some long-time clients. After such a long time without talking to people face-to-face, this was of course particularly enjoyable – especially the chance encounters.
After four action-packed days, we left the expo and headed back to Frankfurt with lots of new contacts, hoarse voices and plenty of lasting impressions.
We are already looking forward to making A+A that little bit more diverse when it comes around again in a couple of years' time.
