How EAP can help

COVID-19 and the coronavirus pandemic have had an enormous influence on our lives and how we interact with one another. A lot of people feel under pressure and are experiencing an enormous amount of uncertainty. What support can EAP offer here?

An EAP (Employee Assistance Programme) is a professional short-term initiative that provides help with professional, personal
and health-related issues. Employers offer their employees this service as an additional benefit, specifically as a way of giving them a quick and effective tool in challenging times, such as the coronavirus pandemic.

 

EAP offers support in the following area in particular:

    Stressful situations, tough conversations, behaviour at work
  • Health-related issues
    Managing at-risk groups, physical and health-related issues, fatigue
  • Coping with restrictions
    Loneliness, isolation, hopelessness, lockdown fatigue

    Coping with uncertainty, worrying about losing your job, stresses and concerns, overload
  • Family & Relationships
    Help with conflicts, parenting and puberty, feeling like you belong even when you are alone
  • Refuelling & re-energising
    Coping with a lack of drive, finding and building on things that give you strength
  • Major life events
    Extreme stress and coping with emergencies and crises

 

Assistance is of course also available for other problems and issues, both personal and professional.
