Conflicts occur any time people come into contact. Yet many employees and managers find it a challenge to deal with conflicts constructively. Every conflict should be taken seriously, even if there isn't a need for large-scale intervention in every case.
What's a good way of addressing conflicts in the workplace? What are the different types of conflicts? What interventions can help achieve an effective solution?
Promoting resilience as a business
The term "resilience", the internal, mental ability to withstand pressure, is on everyone's tongues and is considered a core skill these days. Employees, managers and companies are having to learn to deal with an increasing volume of ever faster changes, pressures and all manner of stresses and strains.
How can companies promote resilience among their employees? What are the options for businesses and their various actors?
Addictions on an individual level
Addiction is a wide-reaching topic in Germany. Substance addictions (predominantly alcohol and other drugs) are increasingly being combined with intangible addictions (internet addiction, gambling addiction, shopping addiction etc.). What all addictions have in common is that they can be very difficult for people to get out of.
Why is it so difficult to overcome addiction? And what outside support do you need to make it easier to escape the cycle of addiction?
